MixBus Platinum implements the full ITU-R BS.1770-4 loudness measurement standard with K-weighted frequency filtering. Integrated, short-term, and momentary loudness readings give you complete loudness awareness. The metering is always active and always accurate — essential for broadcast loudness compliance and streaming platform normalization.
Standard sample-peak metering misses inter-sample peaks that cause distortion in D/A converters and lossy codecs. MixBus Platinum uses a 48-tap Kaiser-windowed sinc interpolation filter at 4× oversampling to detect true peaks between samples. The TruePeak Guard at stage 13 uses this detection to prevent inter-sample overs.
Real-time stereo correlation monitoring shows the phase relationship between left and right channels. Values near +1.0 indicate mono-compatible stereo; values approaching 0 or negative indicate potential phase issues. Combined with the Stereo Enhancer's ratio guard, this ensures your output maintains excellent mono compatibility across all playback systems.
